The Penny Magpie Theatre Company Welcomes You
Theatre for All to Enjoy
COVID19 UPDATE
Sadly due to government advice we have had to cancel our performance of 'Shakers-Restirred' in May and 'Dialogue' at the Edinburgh Fringe. We have refunded those who bought tickets but really hope you'll be able to get along to support us when we're able to re-schedule the performances. At this time the performance of 'Shakers' in Clitheroe in October is still going ahead but we will of course keep you up to date with any changes to this! Keep safe and wash your hands!
Who Are We?
The Penny Magpie Theatre Company has really made a name for itself in the UK, bringing unique and exciting professional theatre to both traditional and more unique spaces all over the country. From our central base in the beautiful City of York we pride ourselves on working with regional actors and love playing with both classic play texts and discovering new writing.
In 2020 we are also going to be running various York-based workshops for actors of any ability, who want to add new skills to their repertoire, including puppetry, clowning and voice/singing. We have so much in the pipeline so be sure to keep checking back to keep up to date on announcements of new shows, workshop dates and our latest projects.
